London → Rio · Since 2022
I grew up in London, studied languages at the University of Nottingham, and arrived in Rio de Janeiro in February 2022. I fell hard for the city and never left.
Today I split my time between leading hikes through the Tijuca forest, taking people to Rio football matches, and teaching languages to students all over the world.

Language has always been my thing. I studied French, Spanish and German at school, went on to study Spanish and Portuguese at university, and have since picked up Latin, Greek, German, Catalan, Italian and Hebrew along the way. My approach to teaching is simple: forget the grammar drills. Focus on the culture, the rhythm, the slang — the stuff that actually makes a language feel alive.
When I'm not guiding or teaching, you'll find me cooking, at a music festival, supporting Nottingham Forest from a distance, or planning my next trip. I've been to 39 countries and counting — and Rio is still my favourite.
